Welcome to my world…
Plans for 2025
There’s always so much on my mind! I thought I’d share some of it…take it or leave it!

Current ideas floating around…
With the home studio now in use I have some ideas of hosting a few little recitals there in the summer with fairy lights, bunting and snuggly beanbags with a few drinks. However, the garden is currently NOT in shape for that little dream. However, I do like gardening and have loads of ideas! I am sure some of my students would be up for providing some entertainment!
My head turns towards targets quite a lot. I’m very driven by targets and like having a plan in place for long and short term goals. To me this is healthy…For my students I like to know what they are thinking and where they are heading, whether or not they want to take exams, perform, or just play for there own chill out time. I’m easy…at the end of the day music is something which can be enjoyed by many and in many different ways. The whole idea is that it is enjoyable! I hope to help provide a bit of happiness for them all!
For myself it’s always the same things…our house renovations will go on forever, but there always goals to reach for there and we know there always will be things on the go and in the pipe line. I’ve already mentioned the garden and I have to stop myself getting carried away with what and isn’t realistic! I like to exercise and currently fitting that in is difficult but now I’m back in the swing of work it will hopefully happen! But for my own musical thrills I like to perform as much as possible and it is lovely to be getting a few things in my diary for the year ahead and even next year. This pleases me so much! And I am very aware that I am a teacher but also I am a musician myself and want to keep myself in the loop and actively playing at a high standard!
Some plans for 2025…
This year I would like to get some more musicians performing. Perhaps at a concert later in the year, or maybe something less formal like I mentioned in my own garden with just a small audience.
Another thing on my mind is the ‘End of Year Concert’. Having moved it last year due to having my little girl I feel it all needs a bit of a shake up. Even if this just means changing the type of performances to more ensemble work or some audience participation maybe…we will see. Or changing the dress code and the feel of it all. Perhaps something very formal! Or not at all! I quite enjoyed teh covid year when it had an outside festival vibe! A mix perhaps?
Branding is strong on my mind at the moment. I think it’s important to have an image for recognition. And I would love to not have to think too much about what to wear to work! So I am on that one at the moment just getting a few things finalised for some apparel and stationary. Maybe that can be available to purchase on the website store?
The website, I had this redesigned while on maternity leave with the hope that it would make my life a little easier when it comes to selling concert tickets, ordering hoodies and booking holiday lessons. So far it has made a huge difference. I don’t have to go backwards and forwards suggesting days and times anymore as it’s all there for people to just book what they want! Easy! I hope student/parents are finding it easy to!
Bring it on!
I could go on and on…but…basically the message is to stay chilled, take it slow and keep things simple.
Don’t do things to satisfy others all the time. Sometimes this is a good thing but there always has to be a balance and on a selfish note things have to work for you and those closest to you!
So go on…go get ‘em and do your best at it. Whatever it is!
